How To Use A Free Resume Writer To Create Your Own Job Application

How To Use A Free Resume Writer To Create Your Own Job ApplicationThe use of a free resume writer can be very beneficial for those who are a bit confused about how to create their own job application for a position that requires a resume. There are many different types of companies that require people to fill out a certain form when they first apply for the job, or the interview, so that the company can actually make contact with them for some other type of work. If you have never used a resume writer before, you may need some help in deciding which one to use. Some people don't need to use a resume writer at all. There are many different ways that you can create your own job application, and you won't need to use any software or a computer to do it. You can simply write the information on paper if you are a very good writer. Other people may want to pay a fee to hire a professional, but this is something that can be done very easily by using one of the many free resume writers availa ble.The use of a free resume writer can be a great help if you have trouble finding information on how to create your own job application. You may want to spend a little time searching the Internet for free information about how to create a resume and this is a great place to start. Once you have a few different pieces of information that you can research, you can start making a list of questions you need to ask yourself before you hire a company to write your resume. One thing that you need to consider is what sort of skills your person's background would show if you knew everything there was to know about them. With this in mind, you can use one of the free resume writing samples available online to give you some ideas about what kind of information you may want to include when you complete the resume.Once you have a sample resume that you think would work well for your person, you may want to print out this sample and read it to find out what you would want to include. For example , if you are looking for someone who has had some experience with computers, include a reference from a relative or friend who has been a computer geek. If you are trying to find someone who has worked in the educational field, include an example of something they might have done. When you have a free resume writer that you can choose from, the amount of information you can include in it will be limited by the limits that they set for you. You can include as much or as little information as you want, but the best job applications are going to be those that include just enough to help you find a new job, and then have enough information in the body of the resume that a potential employer can find more information. Although the written information included in a resume is not always critical, it should at least give you a good idea of what kind of information you should include in your personal profile.Once you have created a free resume writer, you should have plenty of options availab le to you when you begin to create your own job application. You may be able to find a program that allows you to get started on creating a resume in minutes, or you may have to spend a few dollars to hire a professional to help you. Either way, a free resume writer can really be a great help when you are trying to create a resume that will help you find a new job.

How to Write a Perfect Truck Driver Resume (With Examples) Whether you’re a veteran of the open road or someone who feels the freedom and independence of driving for a living calling to you, there’s no denying the appeal of a career in trucking and logistics. If you have a clean driving record and don’t mind spending most of your days with mostly the radio for company, it’s a great field. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1472832551951-0'); }); Let’s look at the truck driver resume for people in the trucking industry. One is just starting out, another has been on the road for a while, and the third is a trucker looking to trade in the keys for the next step up: a managerial position in the logistics industry.1.CDL Certified Truck Driver Resume2.Experienced Truck Driver  Resume3.Driver  Manager ResumeFirst up is Barbara. She’s a newly certified commercial driver, looking to trade in her local delivery experience (pizza and packages) for bigger cargo.Download This Resume in MS WordBarbara Jones 765 Garde n Street Pawnee, IN 34343 BarbJ@emaildomain.com (777) 444-5555Recent graduate of Indianapolis Trucking Institute with a clean driving record and a CDL, seeking a job as a long-distance truck driver.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSIndiana CDL licenseClean driving recordSafe driving practicesAble to work independently in the fieldAble to navigate effectively via maps and GPSStrong time management skillsCommitted to delivering on scheduleCommunicating with customers and within the companyFlexibilityWORK EXPERIENCEPackage Express                                                                                                                                   Pawnee, INDelivery Van Driver                                                                                                                       March 2013 â€" presentDeliver packages in 10-hour shiftsMaintain accurate delivery recordsProvide excellent customer serviceUse GPS to maximize delivery routes and deliver packages on timeTroubl eshoot vehicle maintenance as necessary to maintain timely delivery schedulePaul’s Pizza Palace                                                                                                                           Pawnee, INDelivery driver                                                                                                                                       June 2012 â€" March 2013Delivered food to customersConfirmed customer order details and ensured timely deliveryNamed delivery driver of the month, August 2012Here, Barbara is looking to break into the heavy-load truck driving world. She’s completed the necessary training program, and gotten her CDL license, but she doesn’t have much experience actually driving a truck long distance. So she chooses the skills-based resume format, where the skills and qualifications are the star, followed by relevant experience. She does have experience as a driver, but more on the local level. So her bullets are short and s weet, and stick to her point of emphasizing the skills that will serve her well as a commercial truck driver: customer service, savviness with GPS and route planning, and timely/accurate deliveries.Next up is Phil, who’s been a driver for more than 15 years, but is updating his resume to seize new driving opportunities for more money. Download This Resume in MS WordPhil Paddington437 Vanderbilt AveAtlanta, GA 12121(222) 321-7654Paddington@emaildomain.comCDL-licensed driver with more than 15 years’ experience · Spotless driving record · Adept at navigation · Good people skills · Safety-oriented · Committed to timely and efficient deliveries · Deep knowledge of DOT regulationsLICENSING/CERTIFICATIONClass A CDL license (Georgia)HAZMAT certificationCompletion of A1 Tractor Trailer Training Academy (Atlanta, GA)EXPERIENCETruck Driver May 2010 PresentGet It There Freight Services Atlanta, GADeliver freight from warehouse to customers throughout the southeastern U.S. in accor dance with company procedures, safety protocols, DOT regulations, and traffic laws.Track deliveries and maintain log of vehicle issues, cargo records, delivery issues, and billing statements.Communicate schedules and logistics with communications and the head office.Navigate routes using GPS to find the most efficient route.Use equipment to lift heavy cargo for transport and delivery.Truck Driver December 2004 â€" May 2010Bronson Beverage Co. Miami, FLDelivered shipments of beverages throughout Florida.Checked cargo and related documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to transport.Efficiently loaded and prepared cargo for transport.Followed road safety precautions and traffic laws on all trips.Maintained vehicle log.Worked with customers to ensure smooth and satisfactory deliveries, and provide good service.Phil’s strength is his experienceâ€"he’s been a driver for a long time, and wants to emphasize that steady history. So his summary is basically a headline of what he wants to emphasize: his track record of delivering safely and on time; and his long record of good service. And while education is important to include (which he does at the end), for a truck driver it’s important to show the licenses and certifications Phil holds, so he inserts this information up toward the top so that it’s one of the first things the reader sees.Phil then dives into his experience, using the reverse-chronological format. It appears his current and previous jobs were fairly similar, but he doesn’t just repeat bullet points. He finds different ways to phrase the skills and tasks involved, and makes sure he’s emphasizing the qualities he introduced in his summary. Next up is Owen, who’s an experienced driver, but wants to move into more of an administrative and managerial role.Download This Resume in MS WordOwen Jenkins98 Main Street ? Seattle, WA 65656(999) 858-5858 ? Notice that in his summary, Owen doesn’t use the word “driver” at all. This doesn’t mean he’s ashamed of his previous experience or job titles, just that he wants the reader to see him as more of an overall logistics and transportation guy. The summary (or objective) is a great way to set the tone for the rest of your resume. You set the tone, and start painting the picture of your career that you want the hiring manager to see. Like Phil, Owen emphasizes his experience, bu t also leans heavily on the expertise angle as well.Because Owen is essentially changing careers (in spirit, if not changing industries) by shifting tracks within the trucking and logistics field, he’s using the functional format that works well for career changers, or people who want to emphasize the skills they bring over the experience. This means he’s front-loading his resume with skills and education first, emphasizing what qualities he brings to the table. Remember: always tailor your resume to the job you’re applying for, which means this skills section should be adapted to fit what the job description is seeking. And because Owen wants to show himself as a great potential administrator, he includes his educational background up front, since that includes a degree in Business Administration. You’re not tethered to the traditional resume format of contact info + objective statement + experience + skills + education, in that exact order. Templates can be a great guidelin e, and a good way to help you get your information into fighting shape, but when it comes to structuring your resume, make sure it’s conveying what you want it to say, and that it’s featuring the information that shows you in the best possible light. The Gender Pay Gap Is Getting Worse For Recent College Grads

The Gender Pay Gap Is Getting Worse For Recent College Grads The pay gap among men and women who are just out of college is widening, according to a new report released Thursday by the Economic Policy Institute. The study finds that women earn $17.88 on average during their first four years post-college, while their male counterparts make $20.87 representing a divide thats larger than it was more than 10 years ago.The EPIs report does show a slight improvement since 2015, when young women earned 83% of what men made (women now earn 86% percent of what men do). Moreover, Equal Pay Day which marks the point in the year until which the average woman has to work in order to catch up in pay to what the average man made in the prior year fell on April 4 this year, which was an 8-day improvement from last year.We also know that some companies are making concerted efforts to close their pay gaps. For instance, Salesforce has conducted a compensation audit in order to close the wage gap am ong its employees, and individual women are making strides every day by asking for a raise.Yet when we look at the bigger picture, things look more bleak. In 2000, for instance, women just out of college made 91% of what their male counterparts made, according to the EPI.So why might the gap be widening now? Huffington deutsche post dhl reporter Emily Peck suggests that it could be the result of an increase in income inequality. The highest-paying jobs in the U.S. are paying even better, and men are landing that work, she writes. Think Facebook engineer, Goldman Sachs analyst, etc. Moreover, as Peck notes, the study didnt take into account the kinds of jobs graduates are taking. Women do tend to hold more of the jobs in lower-paying industries (although when analysts have accounted for these kinds of factors, theyve still found a gender pay gap). While we know weve made some progress in shrinking pay inequities in recent years, the EPIs report is an important reminder that the pay ga p is persisting and perhaps with more force than we may have thought. If youre feeling disheartened, or at least curious about whether youre being compensated fairly, check our salary database, where you can look up crowdsourced compensation and bonus information by employer, department and title.
