BBC software and engineering conference apply for tickets open to all students (not just engineering and IT!) Develop:BBC- the software development and engineering conference for BBC staff and external suppliers- is taking place at Media City UK next Tuesday 16th October. Speakers include Netflix’s Adrian Cockcroft, CTO of Auto Trader Pete Hanlon, and Pramod Sadalage of global IT consultancy ThoughtWorks (more details on specific workshops attached). There are   a small number of tickets for students who have an interest in media programming; software best practices; and working at the cutting edge of technology. This is a one off opportunity to get a head start in the jobs market; meet and network with current software engineering professionals from the North West; and find out what it’s really like to work in this exciting industry.   The BBC is   really keen to get a diverse mix of students who have a creative spark and interest in a potential career in software engineering, and would like to encourage applications from across all disciplines.   If you would like to put your name forward for a ticket, please send your name and contact details to mediaclub@manchester.ac.uk   by Friday 12 October please specify your degree subject, year of study or graduation.   The BBC will be allocating places on a first come first served basis.
